Although it is a very early start from Johannesburg, it is well worth the effort. It is hard to find the right words to completely describe what you are feeling as you take off in the early morning, floating gently into the sky with the taste of coffee on your lips and the whoosh of the burners and the chirping of birds the only sound you are aware of...besides the very audible beating of your heart!

Join us as we visit the 4 elephants at the Elephant Sanctuary Haartebeespoort. This is a magical experience few will forget. Being in the presence of these regal and intelligent animals alone is the preserve of the privileged. You could be one of them.

Travel back in time to a bygone era and visit the mine where the diamonds from the English Crown Jewels come from.

The De Wildt Cheetah Centre was established in 1971 with the aim of breeding endangered species. Over the past thirty eight years the centre has successfully bred the cheetah with over 600 cubs being born there. 

It is an early morning start as the kloof we visit is about 1,5 hours from Johannesburg. Our journey takes us into the Magaliesberg Mountains. This picturesque mountain range is steeped in natural, geological, and archaeological history as well as the cultural history of the early settlers and original Bantu-speaking inhabitants. The range is amongst the oldest in the world, and at over 2000 million years old is 100 million years more ancient than Mount Everest!

An early morning departure from Johannesburg or Pretoria ensures that we maximise our time in the North West Province. 

The geology of the Pilanesberg is fascinating, and the wildlife often a little skittish. Binoculars are supplied and after a 3 hour game drive in an air-conditioned vehicle, we make our way to Sun City where we enjoy a light lunch, and an orientation tour of the resort complex.
Guests are then free to spend time at leisure before departing back to Johannesburg or Pretoria.

The Sterkfontein Caves are in an area known as the Cradle of Humankind. It is situated west of Johannesburg and was declared as a World Heritage Site in 1999. It is the richest and most productive paleo-anthropological site in the world. Amongst the remarkable findings are the famous "Mrs Ples" and "Little Foot". Both were discovered at this site. We are not allowed to visit the working dig, but we are able to visit the caves, as well as the new interpretive museum. Join us exploring and learning about our common ancestors before moving on to Maropeng.

This is the largest privately owned game reserve close to Johannesburg. It is home to about 600 head of game with over 20 different species. 

You will have the opportunity to see Lions, Cheetah and Wild Dogs as well as Rhino and all this less than 1 hour from Johannesburg! This tour is ideal for people with very little time to spend in South Africa but who would still like to see wild animals. You also have the opportunity to cuddle some lion or tiger cubs at the Animal Creche.

Pretoria was established in 1855 as the capital of the Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek (ZAR). The city oozes history. The metropolitan area is now known as Tshwane and much has changed over the years but Pretoria still has an aura of regal mystique as befits the capital city of South Africa.

This venue is steeped in history and yet offers the visitor the prospect of what the future holds for South Africa!

The newly developed area houses South Africa's new Constitutional Court and is enveloped with symbolism - celebrating the Rainbow Nation! President Thabo Mbeki officially opened the Constitutional Court Buildings on Human Rights Day, 21 March 2004.

Gold Reef City is built around the shaft of what was once the richest gold mine in South Africa and the World, Shaft 14 of the Crown Mines. It is one of Gauteng's premier tourist attractions and is a great sightseeing trip.

This living museum recaptures the riotous times of Johannesburg's gold rush that began in 1886 after the gold fields were proclaimed by the last president of the Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek, President Stephanus Johannes Paulus Kruger, fondly known as Oom Paul or "Uncle" Paul. 

The Apartheid Museum is a multi-media journey through the tumultous times of legislated segregation, known universally as Apartheid, in South Africa. Discover what led to this abhorrent system being implemented and walk a little in the shoes of some of the South Africans, from all walks of life, who lived during this period.
