Lesedi Cultural Village is situated outside Johannesburg on the way to the Magaliesberg. Here you can learn more about our roots and the tribal customs and unique architecture of 5 of the main tribes making up our Rainbow Nation.

At Lesedi, the "Place of Light", the villagers are dressed in the traditional attire of five of the main tribal groups in South Africa, being the Ndebele, the Zulu, the Xhosa, the Pedi and the Swazi people. 

They welcome you in a colourful show of South Africa's famous hospitality. We are shown an introductory video about our Rainbow Nation going back to the various migrations that resulted in the patchwork nation we all now call home. 

This is followed by a tour around the various cultural villages. Here we are introduced to the people,traditions and history of each of the tribes showcased. We are treated to a spectacular dance show, followed by a delicious lunch or dinner in the "Nyama Choma" Restaurant. The meal on its own is a feast with a wide variety of traditional South African dishes.
